About the piece
A simple, tender hymn addressed to the guardian angel, written especially for children to sing. The edition carries the melody with its text, in just 9 measures.
How to prepare it
It is very short and its register is friendly: E4–D5 (a minor seventh). Use its simplicity to work on diction and unison tuning with the choir (or with a children's choir): singing a simple melody well is the foundation of singing well in parts.
When to use it
A good option in Ordinary Time, and especially at children's celebrations or on the memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels (October 2).
